Lawn Care Package FAQs
How much does lawn care cost per month in Northern Virginia?
Most homeowners spend about $100–$250 per month for routine mowing and maintenance, depending on lot size and services. Lawn Theory keeps it simple and transparent: weekly lawn care is $199/month, the bi-weekly cleanup is $249/month, and larger or specialty properties get a custom quote.
What’s included in a Lawn Theory lawn care package?
Every recurring plan includes professional mowing, precise trimming and edging, a full blow-down and clean-up, and tidy beds and borders — plus a free seasonal yard assessment. Custom plans can add aeration, overseeding, fertilization, weed control, mulching, pressure washing, and hardscaping.
Is weekly or bi-weekly mowing better for my lawn?
During peak growth in a Northern Virginia spring and summer, weekly mowing keeps cool-season fescue healthy and prevents scalping. Bi-weekly works well in slower-growing stretches, but grass grows faster than most people expect — which is why weekly is our most popular plan.
Do I need a long-term contract for lawn service?
No. Our recurring plans are billed monthly and designed to be flexible — no multi-year lock-in. Just tell us when you’d like to start (and pause for the season), and we’ll confirm the details in your written quote.
Why is the weekly plan priced lower than the bi-weekly cleanup?
It sounds backwards, but weekly service keeps the grass shorter, so each visit is faster and easier. The bi-weekly “cleanup” is more intensive per visit — more overgrowth to cut back and clear — which is reflected in the price.
Can I customize a package or add extra services?
Absolutely. Beyond mowing, we handle aeration and overseeding, fertilization and weed control, mulch and bed refreshes, pressure and soft washing, and patios and walkways. Tell us your goals and we’ll build a plan around your yard and budget.
