Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How wide should a front walkway be?
A: We recommend 4 feet minimum so two people can walk side by side, 5 feet for formal homes. Side paths can be narrower.
A: Pavers are easier to keep level long term. Natural stone looks more upscale and adds resale appeal.
A: Usually not — most ground-level walkways don’t trigger permits in NoVA. Anything tied into a driveway entrance might.
A: Most front walkways take 2–5 working days.
A: Yes, but it’s much cleaner and cheaper if we plan it during the build.
